Within the family methods of foot-fists boxing, we all come to mind are better known as Kick boxing, Muay Thai, Full Contact, or Savate French Boxing but others not so well known but have passed their tests in lots of fighting and full contact championships, which concerns us today is called Yaw Yan, Filipino Kickboxing, Yaw Yan name is short for Sayaw ng Kamatayan which means dance of death.
The style was founded in 1972 by Napoleon Fernandez Filipino teacher "Nap" to study different martial arts and fighting styles since childhood, Jiu Jutsu, Filipino martial arts, Muay Thai, Taekwondo and English boxing.
The main feature of style is aggressiveness and toughness and style of your workouts, kicking techniques predominate over fist at a rate of 70-30. It is not just a sport but a martial art ring specializing in personal defense and sport also has its version.
Throughout its history, the style has participated in competitions and Muay Thai Kick boxing with very good results and earning the reputation it has today between the martial community demanding the Philippine Islands, now their fighters also shine in local competitions MMA.

best-known champion of Yaw Yan is Emiliano Zapata "Dacuyan" Pride of Yaw Yan "one of the Filipino fighters more considered, with a record of more than 105 matches unbeaten and competed for much of Asia and Australia.
